Hello Hale! Love, Pretty White Dress x

Updated: Nov 9, 2019

In the words of Craig Revel Horwood - We have arrived, Darling!

This post has been a looooooong time coming as we actually opened our doors mid-September, then had our sensational Pretty White Dress launch party in October. What we didn't anticipate was how busy we would be between then and now! We have been so overwhelmed with love from friends, amazing brides and even attending events such as The National Wedding Show. So we are only just finding the time to sit with a coffee to tell you all about our story thus far.

So hello and welcome, pull up a chair and grab a brew. We can't wait to share with you all the adventures we have along the road, the brides we get to work with, the other creative people we get to meet and everything in between.

What better place to start this than with our very own launch party!

On Saturday 12th October we opened our Pretty door to brides, local business folk and friends and family, to experience the joy and passion we have for what we do.

With help from some INCREDIBLE suppliers, who we will introduce to you in this post, we had the most fun, our boutique was full to overflowing with excitement, love and laughter.

Here is a little taster of the day, filmed and edited by our fantastic friend Jo Curling.

It was so much fun and really encapsulated everything we want Pretty White Dress to be.

So let us paint you a word picture and walk you through the day, introducing you to the suppliers who came to make the event so special.

As you enter the boutique a huge wall of greenery and lush flowers greeted people and offered a lovely glass of prosecco on a custom Perspex stand from Wonder Walls Cheshire and was a great high-end backdrop for excited photos taken to remember the day. They have so many more options for couples (even baby shower planners) so be sure to have a look at all they have to offer.

In and amongst the excited brides-to-be was our wonderful friend and photographer, Lucy Smith, who so thoughtfully offered every bride visiting a mini engagement ring shoot. At one point she had quite a few sparklies that we wanted to rehome, they were just so stunning! (all rings did leave with their rightful owners, don't worry). Lucy is honestly one of the most beautiful people inside and out, she genuinely cares about her clients, really gets to know them to ensure each and every image is full of emotion and truly meaningful.

Whilst gazing at all the designer dresses we hold; including Madi Lane, Rasha London, Catherine Deane and Theia Couture. Guests were treated to beautiful melodies sang by Katie Ritson. Not exaggerating, one of us may have been crying at one point...lets not embarrass them by saying who...no no no, it's not fair to laugh...it was Chloe! Seriously Katie has a breath-taking tone to her voice and a cracking sense of humour, we loved having her.

Move through to our dressing room and Lesley from LA Health had created a mini spa room, full of her plant based cosmetic products and therapy bed. Throughout the day people kept walking past with one gold eye patch on, they had 'been Lesleyed' became the phrase of the day.

We still aren't finished...

Walking down the stairs to our workroom the atmosphere changes with a funky pink glow and new sounds from the party down below!

The whole lower level had been turned into party central! Brides were greeted to an INCREDIBLE pink neon sign from The Word is Love reading; 'Crazy in Love' which sat pride of place on our hearth (we are so tempted to get our very own bespoke one as it just sat perfectly there).

There was a Magic Mirror, sweetie cart and a light up dance floor all brought to us by Chris from the brilliant Serendipity Venue styling, complete with dressing up box - which we took full advantage of later that evening!

The ladies from the Manchester Hen, who know how to do a party, were there to greet people and tell them all about their fab planning services.

The lovely Shikamo Design were displaying their unique and innovative Perspex designs, which are all custom made and can be personalised.

Our jaws dropped at the amazing work displayed by The Cheshire Calligrapher who hand draws every single piece of work, ranging from invites to table plans to official records for the Mayor of Macclesfield! Her work is truly exquisite.

No party would be complete without some entertainment, and we happened to have a duo from Good Indeed Music pumping out some tunes! The duo are just one of many line ups that they offer at Good Indeed Music, there is a band for every taste. All of the musicians are extremely talented, create a great atmosphere and just genuinely lovely people.

Talk about a jam packed day! We loved it so much, maybe we'll have to make it a yearly event.

Once the brides-to-be had left in a flurry of excitement and a cute little gift bag...of which we had popped inside all our suppliers info, free tickets to the Manchester leg of The National Wedding Show and a delicious cookie lovingly made by our friend Alex at Bring Me Cupcakes. We were then joined by some people from local businesses, just so we can get to know the neighbours and make new friends who we can support and recommend.

Our final treat after all was calm and quiet was then to have all the friends and family who have helped bring the Pretty White Dress dream into reality in the same room to thank for every single piece of support. So many hands have touched the heart of this business already and without them this Boutique would not be what it is. For each act, large or small, we are eternally grateful and will endeavour to make you proud.

So that was our first adventure as Pretty White Dress, thank you for joining us.

We hope to see you soon.
